BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 2022!
As we enter our 11th season, we are thrilled to launch a new fiddling program for students enrolled in grades 6-9 during the 2022-2023 school year! The curriculum in our new program will be centered around building the creative, collaborative skills utilized in our innovative high school ensemble and by folk musicians around the world. Students will:
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Bowed string players (violinists, violists, cellists, or bassists), enrolled in grades 6-9 during the 2022-2023 school year, who are also members of their school orchestra programs. (Homeschooled students of appropriate age, students who are enrolled in online school, and those whose schools do not have orchestra programs are also welcome to apply!)
Students must have completed two years of musical study, either through enrollment in a school orchestra program or in a private lesson setting. No auditions required. Students do not need to have prior fiddling experience. We are looking for musicians who are eager to learn about our creative, collaborative approach to music-making!

- develop musical creativity and flexibility
- build leadership skills
- perform in the community
- participate in jam sessions with students in the high school program
- and, develop confidence, both personally and musically!

REHEARSALS & TUITION
Rehearsals will be held on THURSDAY nights from 4:30-5:45 PM during the school year (August 2022 to May 2023).
Our first rehearsal of the 2022-2023 season will be held Thursday, September 1st, 2022. All rehearsals will be held at: New Hope Community Church 1380 E. Guadalupe Rd. Gilbert, AZ 85234 |
Tuition for the 2022-2023 season is $300 per student. A portion of the tuition ($175) is due by Sunday, August 28th; the remainder of tuition ($125) is due by Thursday, September 22nd (our 4th rehearsal of the season). Further details on submitting tuition payments will be sent to families upon registration. Tuition is non-refundable.
REGISTRATION
Registration is now closed for the 2022-2023 season. Information about the 2023-2024 season will be posted in late Spring 2023.
Space will be limited for each instrument. These spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, without regard to playing ability. When spaces have been filled, students will be put on a wait list and notified if space becomes available.
